Our history
MORED, a nonprofit organization, was established in February 2023 to address the imperative need for the restoration of the Saint Pius X complex in Ducis, which was devastated during the August 2021 earthquake in South Haiti. Comprising mostly alumni of the Saint Pius X primary school, where we received our religious rites at the associated church, we recognize the pivotal role Saint Pius X Church plays as a spiritual anchor and unifying force in the Ducis community. Through religious services and community-focused initiatives, the church contributes significantly to Ducis' social fabric, fostering a collective sense of identity and purpose among its residents. Understanding the critical role of these institutions in our educational and spiritual development, our mission is to unite disparate parties and raise the necessary funds to construct a modern school, ensuring future generations have access to the same opportunities. This school will stand as a beacon of excellence for our children, and the accompanying temple will be a source of pride for the entire municipality of Ducis.
Our mission
Our mission is to bring together and motivate all the children of Ducis around the restoration project of the Campus Saint Pie X in Ducis. MORED is an apolitical, non-profit, non-denominational structure serving the community of Ducis.
